How To Request a Renewal

To Request a Renewal of an item, follow these instructions:

After logging in to you Tipasa  account:

  1. Click on "Interlibrary Loan Requests"
    • This will show all of the items you have requested or checked out. 
  2. Find the item you want to renew and click the 'Renew' button located on the right side of the request
    • This is a tentative renewal.  A new due date (if the lending library agrees) will be issued for this item. You will receive an email and the item will be updated on your account if a new due date is issued.  If the lending school does not agree to renew the item, the original due date stands

NOTE: If the "Renew Request" Link is not available it is possible the renewal request was already sent or that the lending library has specified "No Renewal". 

If you click a specific request, notes concerning the item you want to request will appear.  You may be told that you can not request a renewal until a certain date or that you can not renew the item.

The Column marked '8' on the diagram gives you the option to "Cancel" or "Renew" an Interlibrary Loan Request.

For more information about a request please click the corresponding numbers under "Request ID" marked '3' on the diagram. 

Detailed Interlibrary Loan Request Record

Clicking the request will reveal more notes and details about the individual request.
