As a part of your class, you will develop survey instruments, collect data, and analyze that data. There are several good, free software programs available for creating surveys; three of the most popular are listed below, along with some resources that may be helpful for developing questions and conducting surveys.
Free survey software
- Google FormsGoogle Forms allows you to create forms for surveys and questionnaires. Data is collected in a Google spreadsheet, and a basic summary of responses is automatically generated. You will need a Google account in order to create a survey.
- SurveyMonkeySurvey Monkey's free version provides unlimited surveys with up to 10 questions and 100 responses per survey.
- SurveyGizmoFree software for building surveys with over 25 question types, downloadable data, and several data visualization options.
- DoodleEasy-to-use software, useful for basic polling and scheduling.
