ENG 300 Intro to the Major

The library's Discovery System (in the yellow box) searches across the library's physical items (books, DVDs, etc.) as well as almost all of the library databases. To find books, use the filters to limit the source type to books and/or e-books. 

• Tip 1: Add the phrase "criticism and interpretation" to help focus your search for books (e.g., Poe Edgar Allan criticism and interpretation)
• Tip 2: Use the Discovery System to search for books in the UM library and WorldCat to search for books in other libraries (as well as at UM!)
• Tip 3: If you want to browse, every major author has their own call number section. For instance, Edgar Allan Poe may be found in PS 2600 to PS 2645 (his works come first, followed by biographies and criticism of his work).
