Off-campus access to databases

Some of the sources in this guide are freely available through the Internet.  Others will prompt you for a login.  Use your UM user ID and password to access these resources. (Hint: Use the same username and password you use to login to Canvas.)

1. Start Here: Journal of Nonverbal Behavior

Your best bet for articles is the Journal of Nonverbal Behavior. Click the link below to directly access the journal, where you can search by keyword or browse issues.

2. Then go here next: select databases

Use the links below to go directly to select databases that feature nonverbal communication articles from a variety of journals. A short video with an examples of conducting a search in one of these databases can be found on the "How to Search" page.

3. Go Here Next.

If you can't find what you are looking for in the specialized databases and journals, try a discovery system search in the main search box on the library homepage. This will search across all items in the library collection, including articles, books, eBooks, videos, and more. And, you can use the discovery system settings to narrow your search to meet your course requirements.
