ENG 310: Literature for Children: Finding Children's eBooks

Montevallo's public library, Parnell Memorial Library, has an eBook collection you can access by clicking the eBook button on the homepage. You can quickly register for an account using your cell phone number. The eBooks can be read on Amazon Kindle or Libby apps (both free).

This collection of over 200,000 eBooks includes juvenile collection titles (mostly nonfiction). Use "juvenile" as a keyword as well as your search term(s) to limit within this collection.

Open Library contains many free eBooks. Browse by grade level in the K-12 Student collection or visit the Newbery Medal collection.

Project Gutenberg has thousands of children's eBooks that can be read online or downloaded in various formats.

International Children's Digital Library contains searchable digital copies of children's books from around the world.

Barnes & Nobles offers over 5,000 free children's eBooks that can be read with the Nook app.

Amazon offers over 7,000 free children's ebooks that can be read on the Kindle App.
