View the screenshots below to learn how to filter, or set-up, your library searches to meet the requirements of your assignment. Use the arrows to progress through the slideshow.
Step 1: Find the Search box on the library website.
Go to the library website at libguides.montevallo.edu and find the yellow search box at the top of the page.
Step 2: Check the "Peer-Reviewed (Scholarly) Only" box.
Look for the checkboxes under the search field. Then check the "peer-reviewed (scholarly) only" box.
Step 3: View and filter your results.
Your search will generate results on this screen. On the left panel, you can filter the results to meet the assignment's requirements. For example, you can change the date range to see only the results for articles published in the last ten years. In other words, you can change the date range from to 2011 to 2021.
Step 4: Your results meet the requirements.
Because you filtered your results, they should be on target. They are from peer-reviewed journals and they are from the last 10 years.
