LinkedIn Learning

New York Times: Activate Your Free Access Today

All UM students, faculty, and staff can access LinkedIn Learning. The comprehensive site features more than 21,000 courses led by experts. It includes content in areas such as web design, education, technology, business, career development, and job skills. And, it can be accessed conveniently for 24/7 on-the-go learning online and through a mobile app.

Follow the instructions below to register for an account using your UM email address.

Part 1: Please follow these steps log-in to your Linked In Learning account.

Step 1: Navigate to www.linkedin.com/learning
Step 2: Login with your UM credentials (full email address and password) at the single sign-on screen.

Part 2: Link your LinkedIn Learning Account to Your Personal LinkedIn account.

Once your LinkedIn Learning account is created, it is recommended, but not required, that you link your personal LinkedIn profile to your linked in learning account. However, linking the two provides additional benefits like customization of learning experiences and use of the mobile app.

  • When you initially log-in to LinkedIn Learning, you will be prompted to link your personal LinkedIn profile. If you have a LinkedIn profile, you can follow the on-screen prompts to link it. If you choose to skip this step, you can follow these instructions to link your profile later.
  • If you do not have a personal linked in account, you can use a personal or UM email address to create one. (Pro-tip: If you use your UM email address to create your personal LinkedIn account, remember to change this to your personal email address prior to graduation.)

If you have trouble logging in to LinkedIn Learning, contact the Solution Center for assistance.
