Films on Demand & Alexander Street
UM's library subscribes to the Films on Demand and Alexander Street (Counseling and Therapy in Video) databases, providing access to over over 200,000 quality streaming videos (and video segments) produced by a variety of publishers and covering multiple disciplines.
You can access these database collections by
- clicking the Databases button on the library homepage.
- using the Discovery search box on the library homepage.
- using the external tool feature in Canvas
And, like all database content, these films are accessible on and off campus.

Content comes from quality publishers like PBS, Meridian, Cambridge Educational, the BBC, National Geographic and more. UM community members have access to over 40,000 titles. Many of the titles are closed captioned.
